the other side of the story - marian keyes
i looked at the people sitting around me - Andrea, Cody, Susan, sylvie, Jennifer, Trevor, Niall and some bloke from Birmingham whose name escapes me but who was there because he was getting the ride off Jennifer, and though, this is all I need: good friends, to love & be loved. I have health, a well-paid job, a book coming out, a hopeful future & people who love me. I am whole & complete....
"you've given up on men", he said. "You can't do that"
I tried to explain that I hadn't given up, merely reshuffled my priorities, but i didn't do a very good job of it, probably on account of being banjoed out of my head on free Pina Colada. But it didn't matter. Happiness means not having to be understood.
Another chicklit to read before my bed time - God, this imsonia is killing me !!. The story is from Gemma, Jojo & Lily whose life path crossed one another in this complicated world. So-so but enough to kill my night except for Gemma stories.. is hillarious & funny, especially her story with Johnny the pharmacist...I went to drug store quite often recently since my mom got sick..and where the hell I can find this Johnny ??? :)
